Cheal A & E shutdown PSV campaign 2021
Tasked with the mammoth scope of servicing and certifying 76 PSV’s in 5 days, the TIS crew worked a 12 hour day/night shift in teams of 3 to ensure completion of the project.
All valves were pretested, stripped, assessed and reassembled with new parts as required.
Upon completion, each valve was certified and tagged.
All parts had been sourced and supplied by TIS in advance of the shutdown commencement.
Between the high-impact resourcing and the pre-planning of parts and procurement, TIS was able to complete this job 12 hours earlier than expected and meant the site had more flexibility and time allowance to get the plant back up and running.
The client was very please with the service and timely manner in which it was completed, and rebooked TIS for the 4 yearly repeat of the shutdown for early 2025 based on the performance in 2021.
